I really want to express my appreciation for the outstanding love and support everyone has showed and is continuing to show. When I talked to Brian last he said that he gets mail every day that there's mail delivery now. They only get mail on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday if they are in the wire on those days. He said he really enjoys it and he's able to share with all his soldiers! He said he loves the random snacks and he said he's getting a great variety from everyone. He also said it's great because he is actually taking the boxes out of the wire with him and his soldiers and they have something to eat besides the MRE's that the Army provides. He said he has received several letters and he said it really means a lot to him to read them. I can't tell you how much it means to me as his wife to know that you are all thinking of us and especially him! I love knowing that you are all putting a smile on his face when he's going through the toughest thing he's ever had to go through. I also want everyone to know that I have the best mother in law a person could have! Thank you so much mom for the anniversary gift. She sent me a three photo frame with pics of Brian and I back when we were first together as well as two cards...one of which was a card she picked up for my husband! I was definitely bragging about you at work! And thanks so much aunt Joan for the beautiful card for our anniversary...I loved the wedding photo of Brian and I on the front! It made me want to go into the infamous attic to get our wedding video but since my skull is not closed from the first attic adventure and when Jennifer freaked out I decided against it. Once again thank you so much for everything! He mentioned he got a package from Aunt Norine and I heard from Uncle Ray this week that he's sending one and I just am completely in awe at how supportive you all are! I know I probably missed a couple of people because he was telling me a bunch of names and I didn't write them down. Oh yes, he said he got a letter from Grandma Wayman and a letter from Brenda. Thanks again! I will try to keep you updated when I can.
Love,Brian, Kim and kids
And I, Linda, want to add a little thing about the anniversary card from me. I bought a card saying "to my wife" and wrote to Kimmie (that's what Brian calls her.) Then I signed Brian's name to the card and wrote "Love You Forever." Brian always says that to her at the end of their phone conversation. I had so much fun doing that. I also want to add, I am so glad Brian picked Kim. It takes a real special person to be a military wife. Kim surely has fulfilled the bill. She is a perfect wife and mother. And may I add, Daughter-in-law. The photos below are the ones I put in a frame and sent to Kim. I also mailed them to Brian. Let's keep the cards, letters and packages going to Brian and his soldiers. It must be so nice when he is sitting in his styrker with his men to reach in the box and pull out some goodies and know that people really do care!! I know that not all the units get that special treatment. Thanks to everyone for their support to me also. You've all been so great! Thanks.
